GET BRAZILIAN CNPJ TO FOREIGN COMPANIES
When your company becomes a shareholder of a Brazilian company,
it shall request its CNPJ ("Cadastro Nacional da Pessoa Jurídica", which can be translated as Corporate Tax Registration Number).
All Brazilian companies and their shareholders are required to be enrolled with Brazilian Federal Revenue by the CNPJ.
The procedure of getting a CNPJ for a foreign company is quite different from a Brazilian company: they shall be registered before Brazilian Central Bank Electronic System, from where we request the enrolment with Brazilian Federal Revenue to provide a CNPJ.
